@Kimmikala: I can't be mad at either of them! I just want to hug them both and make it all better! It's confusing and scary when you realize something new about yourself. Rather that be sexuality, gender any fucking thing. Discovering yourself is scary asf. And also I fucking love this story <3 <3

the whole thing is like. I mean you have to rip off the bandaid at some point. open communication is important and you can't just let that kind of rift remain unattended to.

liking Theoretically Straight people can be so stressful, as much as questioning only it's some kind of weird power dynamic where the Self Actualized character is turning to the Questioning character for like, mercy or answers or stability. but it's not there and the Questioning character doesn't know what to do. And the whole dynamic puts pressure and a rush on the situation and there's so much at play when trying to figure out yourself, let alone when trying to figure out if it's safe to let others in on what you might conclude.

I don't miss being there.

Howie I kinda get it but...
It took you most of your life to come to terms with yourself, but you're getting mad at Sooch for not being honest after you basicly forced him to give you an answer even though he didn't even take notice of his own sexuality by that time?
I'll have to side with Sooch here. I don't think Howie can really blame him, as hurt as he got. Also he's been very focused on his own feelings for a long time, and it's fine really, but it didn't seem like he really considered Sooch's on the way. It's about time he'll actually listen.
Please be happy, both!

I've never been mad at either of them. They're just victims of a difficult situation and confusing emotions. And if any blame were to be cast, honestly I think they've both had a play in making the situation worse. I'm not blaming them though. I just want them to be happy. ;n;

I completely forgot about Sooch and how hard this must have been to process.

You find out your best friend likes you, he kisses you, meanwhile you're failing classes, he leaves to clear his head, you kiss him and like it. your feelings start to change but that doesn't happen over night.

That's a lot to deal with in one year.

You've written your characters so well that we can't possibly be mad at either of them! They're just too precious

Love this episode.

They've both definitely had a hand in making this situation worse so I can't be mad at either.

Hopefully they can eventually work it all out.

GO SOOCH!Explain your feelings :( and you howie, listen. Your beloved is suffering too :(

Posted at March 6th, 2018, 7:24 am

Oof

They both have a point. Howie did trust Sooch to be honest with him and he wasn't. On the other hand, getting past your sexuality isn't as easy as people like to think it is. When Sooch was so sure he's straight and then likes a kiss from another guy, it would be incredibly confusing.

This hurts my heart, I wanna hug 'em both D"X

@SpaceWitch: Luckily for you, everyone appears to agree on your points. It's difficult to come to terms with your sexuality, and Howie is (understandably) being a hypocrite. We all make mistakes, and we all need time to learn about ourselves.

Welp

To be honest, Sooch NEVER actually said "no, I don't like it" or "no, I didn't feel anything" or anything along the lines of that when Howie asked him how he felt about the kiss. Literally, all Sooch said was "I'm sorry" and then Howie started making assumptions right off the bat of what that meant, assuming that "I'm sorry" meant "I'm sorry, this is just not going to happen" vs "I'm sorry, I was wrong" or even "I'm sorry, but I don't know what to tell you, because I don't know how I'm feeling right now". So it wasn't technically lying, it was more like omitting the truth (course you could always debate whether that's the same thing as lying).

Posted at March 7th, 2018, 1:24 am

@Lemlem : That's exactly what Howie is upset at Sooch for. Not for lying, but for not being honest.

Howie wanted Sooch to be clear. He wanted a 'yes' or a 'no' answer, and by Sooch saying "I'm sorry", it's reasonable to assume that meant he didn't feel anything or he didn't like it. People usually don't respond like that when the answer is positive.

........Whatever. I'm just happy Howie's mad at Sooch. Learning you've been lied to isn't exactly an easy thing to recover from, even if it does mean great news in the end. To put it in perspective, it's like if you run some medical test and the doctor tells you, "You'll die of cancer by next week," and so you start overpreparing for your own funeral and the same doctor comes back and says "Psyche!".

Yes, an extreme comparison, but that's probably how angry Howie's feeling.

(If that analogy doesn't make sense, then it's as though Howie was told Sooch died, and at Sooch's funeral Sooch jumped out of his coffin and said "PSYCHE!")

Lmao it's really no ones fault. Humans are made like that, we are flawed and will never be able to make the right choices all the time. I've kind of come to terms to that but it's good we own up to them when or if we can.
